In our preparation for breastfeeding workshop you will receive lots of practical information for the week after the baby is born.
You will learn important tips for breastfeeding and what to look out for. With this knowledge you will be able to recognise and prevent common problems in a timely manner.
The workshop is given by the lactation consultant from Aidulac, Annette Luime. The interactive nature of the workshop offers plenty of room for exchanging knowledge and experiences and to ask questions.
The subjects we will cover include: The importance of early and correct latch after the birth, skin-to-skin contact, different positions, feeding schedules, how to recognise if your baby is getting enough milk and the normal process of breastfeeding in the week following the birth.
The workshop will be scheduled from 15.30 till 17.30 and held in DelVi in Delft. There is opportunity for questions and follow-up information and support.
Our in-person sessions are designed to keep you safe while learning. We will run small groups of 5 couples with adequate spacing to allow you to safely learn while keeping adequate distance. We will provide a hygienic environment, adhering to the RIVM regulations. Before the practice session we will require all participants to confirm they have no symptoms. We will offer a Zoom option for anyone with symptoms, (or high risk) to follow the in-person session via video link if necessary.
Safety first: If there is a lockdown at the time of the workshop then our lactation consultant, Annette, will give a live online session.
