We would love to welcome you to our 3 hour refresher course for parents who have already given birth before. A time to refresh your knowledge, connect with other parents and reboot for the start of the next phase in your family. Preparing for another baby needs and deserves time too.
The first time around we have all thew time in the world to prepare. Even though it didn't feel like it then, we know that now! Your first pregnancy is so unique because of that. It is the only pregnancy you actually have time to enjoy, prepare, do other stuff too and have a relaxed maternity leave. Spending time together preparing for a second or third baby is very difficult when your life is so full and you already have a child(ren) running around.
You already have a birthing experience behind you so there are often things you want to do differently and plans that need to be made for your other child(ren.) However making the time often gets pushed to the end of the pregnancy and can actually cause stress.
Carve out that time and come and join us at the "Here we go again" refresher course. We will facilitate you in planning for the upcoming birth and give time to review your last birth experience and talk about what you want to do again or not. We will talk about how to prepare the older sibling(s) for the arrival of their baby brother or sister.
We will practice essential hands-on techniques for the birth partner to use during labour and spend time practising massage and relaxation. We will cover pain relief management and how breath work can support you during labour. There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and meet other International parents.
Our in-person sessions are designed to keep you safe while learning essential hands-on techniques to help you during your birth. We run small groups of 6 couples with adequate spacing to allow you to safely learn while keeping adequate distance. We will provide a hygienic environment, adhering to the RIVM regulations. Before the practice session we will require all participants to confirm they have no Covid-19 symptoms.
The sessions will be held from 10.00 -13.00 on a Sunday.
