I have developed Birth in Holland as a result of an identified need for extra support and guidance for expat mothers-to-be alongside the provision of professional medical care during pregnancy, birth and beyond.
As a midwife, mother and expat, I have a unique insight into the challenges faced by mothers-to-be when living outside of their home country.
Living in a foreign country can be both exhilarating and challenging. Issues such as a lack of support network, difficulty accessing information, interpreting cultural differences, understanding an unfamiliar system and language barriers can cause unnecessary uncertainty.
I deliver personalised maternity care to English speaking women in and around the Delft area, whilst incorporating support and guidance through the Dutch healthcare system and on into parenthood.
